Executive Director Andy White Featured on KOIN 6 News for “Go to Camp, Give a Camp” Initiative

We’re thrilled to share that Elite Sports Academy CEO Andy White was recently featured on KOIN 6 News to spotlight ESA’s powerful new initiative: “Go to Camp, Give a Camp.”

This innovative program is designed to expand access to summer sports camps by making it easy for families and supporters to directly sponsor a child from an under-resourced community. For every paid camp registration or donation through the initiative, ESA provides a free camp experience to a child who otherwise might not have the opportunity.

“We don’t believe income should determine access to sports,” Andy shared during the interview. “Through ‘Go to Camp, Give a Camp,’ we’re making it possible for kids from every background to play, grow, and be part of something bigger.”

Bridging Gaps Through Action

The segment showcased how ESA is tackling the barriers that too often stand between kids and quality sports programming—especially in communities of color and Title I school districts.

“Go to Camp, Give a Camp” isn’t just about access—it’s about equity, belonging, and building community through sports. Every contribution helps ensure that kids can develop confidence, teamwork skills, and a love for movement, no matter their financial circumstances.

How You Can Get Involved

Whether you’re a parent registering your child for camp, a business looking to support local youth, or a community member who believes in equal opportunity, there’s a place for you in this initiative.

You can:

  • Register your child for a summer camp (and automatically sponsor a camper)

  • Donate to support additional scholarships

  • Help spread the word in your community

We’re incredibly proud of Andy’s leadership and the growing awareness around this important mission. Special thanks to KOIN 6 News for shining a light on this story and helping us share our vision with the wider community.

Let’s make summer unforgettable—for every kid.
