ESA Athletes Meet Russell Westbrook at Nike HQ for a Day They’ll Never Forget

Some moments are bigger than sports—and this one was truly legendary. A select group of Elite Sports Academy athletes were recently invited to Nike World Headquarters for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: meeting NBA superstar Russell Westbrook, playing basketball alongside him, and walking away with brand-new shoes for every kid.

A Day at Nike

From the moment our athletes arrived on campus, the energy was electric. Nike welcomed ESA with open arms, giving our athletes a glimpse into the world of innovation, elite performance, and what’s possible when talent meets opportunity.

The highlight of the day? A surprise appearance by Russell Westbrook—one of the most electrifying players in the league and a true icon of style, grit, and leadership.

On the Court with a Legend

Our athletes had the chance to hoop with Russ, running through drills, playing pick-up games, and soaking up advice straight from the source. Westbrook didn’t just show up—he engaged, encouraged, and inspired, connecting with each kid and reminding them that greatness is possible no matter where you start.

To top it all off, every single ESA athlete left with a brand-new pair of Nike shoes—a gift that brought huge smiles, boosted confidence, and reminded our youth that they are valued and seen.
